BCBG Max Azria - Textured Tube Skirt

So, I saw this skirt on a WhoWhatWear video and decided to look it up on the BCBG Max Azria website. I'm in LOVE with all the colours and the bandage trend is definitely hot for fall season. If If I had a $138 lying around I would pick this up in no time. Black is definetly a must have in a closet, but I love the fun colours because they provide a more trendy vibe.

Blair Waldorfesque designs

I was browsing lulus.com again and noticed they have many dresses similar to that of dresses worn by Blair Waldorf in various episodes. Some are exact replicas I swear and others would give you that same look but in a different way. So, here is what I scoped out.
(clockwise from top left)

1. Summer, Kind of Wonderful - I think we all remember the iconic white Marc by Marc Jacobs dress Blair worn to the all white party. I have to say, this dress by BB Dakota (Joelle) is a spot on replica (minus a few details like the bow on the front). Sadly this dress is sold out on the website.

2. Summer, Kind of Wonderful (again) - Another great dress from this episode was the green floral number. The actual dress is by Milly but I thought this abstract number by Evenstar with a bow detail gave a similar idea but in a different way.

3. The Grandfather - One of my favourite dresses was this really chic mini bandage dress by Herve Leger (Max Azria). It's elegant, but at the same time edgy. The dress I spotted at lulu was by Foxy Lady and it reminded me of the Herve Leger because of the bold use of white against black. I think the layered bodice area draws attention much like the bandage effect.

4. The Dark Night - The flowy yellow dress worn by Blair in this episode is definitely trendy with the dramatic one shoulder. It is a 3.1 Philip Lim I believe, but this one by Likity Split will definitely give a similar look. It also has a fluttered one shoulder detail and comes in a gorgeous bright yellow.

Latest Buy

Well, I've been on a hunt for a nice swimsuit that isn't going to break my bank for a while. I'm going to california in a couple weeks, so I finally got around to getting one. I found this number at Garage oddly enough. It is not somewhere I would usually shop but I love the colour of this one and the ruffling detail is quite cute in real life. It is a bit more on the green side in real life.

Weekly Spot

Well I can definetly say I am overdue for a weekly spot. Apologizes, however I recently came upon one of the cutest sites for clothes and accessories at a great price! LULUS Fashion Lounge offers a variety of girly chic looks that are modest in price. Above are two piece that I couldn't resist (very GG I might add). The dress could be worn both day and night and has a subtle keyhole detail in the back. The headband is quite simialr to ones worn by Blair Waldorf at only $9!! Crazy I know and so much so I might be getting one for myself.

Hooray for Evernote

Evernote is by far one of my new favourite best friends. Thank you dearly to Briana at collegefashion.net for the scoop on this amazing little tool.

What is it?
It is a virtual notebook essentially.  Here's how it works: You make an account online or you can download the program to your computer or phone. It allows you to drag and drop various pictures, text and your notes into the space and saves it to your account voila. I used to have to save all my fashion finds on my computer or bookmark; now I just open up evernote and voila done.

Highly recommend you check this out.

Mangosteen Embroidered Shirt & Floral Skirt - $98.00 (YesStyle.com)
Another one of my favourite online places to scoop out finds is YesStyle.com, which is an online retailer with focus on Asian designers and products. I found this adorable floral skirt by Mangosteen while doing my weekly browse. Unlike most florals I've seen, this one is very modern, feminine and perfect for spring with it's blue and pink details. It also comes with your choice of a white or soft pink embroidered shirt. I love the leather brown belt they've paired it with and you could easily where this skirt in a variety of combinations.

Mina Embroidered Off Shoulder Gypsy Dress - $57.79
I can't stay away from ASOS. I think I'm an addict. I loved this off shoulder gypsy dress in green by Mina. It has a hippie boho quality yet a modernity with the subtle pin-stripes and punchy aqua colour. Perfect with a dark brown leather belt and some stacked wooden bangles. Gold gladiator sandals would also work great with this.
